Why these three members of the royal family were excluded from the balcony

Trooping the Color 2024 took place on June 15. The annual royal event, which marks the official birthday of the current monarch, sees hundreds of soldiers, horses and musicians take part in a military procession. It has been a tradition of the royal family for more than 250 years.

The finale comes when several royals gather on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for a Raf flypast. It was thought that three royals who had not appeared on the balcony in recent years would be there, but that was not the case.
