When is Bridgerton season 4 coming out?

Considering we’ve only just said goodbye to the Ton for season three, it’s too much wishful thinking to hope that we can get season four in the very near future.

Jess Brownell shared an update on the development stages for the next season while promoting season three. The Bridgerton showrunner told Digital spy: “No major spoilers, but things are going well and we’re very excited.”

As for a release date? Even Brownell has admitted that it will be some time before season four hits Netflix – about two years to be exact.

“We are working on getting the seasons out faster, but filming takes eight months, then they have to be edited and then dubbed into each language,” Brownell shared. The Hollywood Reporter at the UK premiere of the second part of season three.

“And it also takes a very long time to write, so we’re at about a two-year pace. We’re trying to speed up, but somewhere in that range.”

With that in mind, the season four release date will likely fall 2026. An alarmingly long wait, yes, but at least we can always plow on with the books in the meantime.

Will Kate and Anthony return for Bridgerton season 4?

The fan favorite, who led the second season and returned to show off their marital bliss in the third series, has undoubtedly left us wanting more – especially with season three’s reveal that Kate is carrying the couple’s first child, and they are planning a trip to India together.

When asked if their characters would be back for the fourth season, Simone Ashley (via People): “I really hope so.”
