LEE COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people in connection with multiple shooting incidents in Lee County, the sheriff’s office says.

On April 19, investigators responded to a shooting on Raccoon Road where a home was shot multiple times with seven people inside. No one was reportedly injured during the shooting.

On May 9, Lee County deputies responded to a shooting on Herbert Lane, where a home was shot 49 times with six people inside, LCSO says.

During the shooting, one adult was hit multiple times and suffered injuries for which he was treated.

And then a 9-month-old baby was also hit by gunfire. The baby named Benjamin Griffin III died May 22 as a result of the injuries, Lee County deputies say.

Also, on May 27, law enforcement responded to a shooting incident on Sumter Highway in which a person was shot while in a grocery store parking lot, officers say.

The victim was not struck by gunfire, but suffered minor injuries from debris caused by the shooting. Investigators say two arrests were made during the investigation into each shooting.

Roshad Wilson, 25, and Rayquawn Commander, 18, both of Lee County, were each charged with 1 count of murder, 13 counts of attempted murder, 2 counts of discharging a firearm into a dwelling and 3 counts of possession of a weapon during an act of violence. crime.

Wilson was taken into custody at his home and Commander was taken into custody in Heflin, Alabama.
