Like the 2022 movie Smile hasn’t scared you enough, but you can bet Parker Finn is going to pull out all the stops for the horror movie sequel. The recently released Smile 2 trailer shows terrifying sequences that make the sequel seem like an even bigger entry than its predecessor. The highly anticipated film looks to feature even more terrifying images and startling visuals and may be the best sequel horror fans have had in over a decade.

Smile 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on October 18.

The Smile 2 trailer gives a little insight into the film’s storyline. The opening moments show pop star Skye Riley’s (Naomi Scott) stage performance before segueing into a creepy sequence in which her boyfriend Lewis goes crazy in an apartment. As he collapses to the ground and screams for help, Skye sees him cower in fear of a creature she cannot see.

Things intensify when Lewis suddenly stops panicking, prompting her to lean over him. Lewis turns to her with a blank expression, closes his eyes, and forces his mouth up into a chilling smile. The Smile 2 The trailer shows Lewis standing up, grabbing a large barbell plate and continuously hitting it in the face until he is dead.

Skye becomes increasingly aware that there is something sinister about Lewis’ suicide. About the rest of the Smile 2 trailer, the pop star begins to see strangers stepping into her field of vision, all wearing the same gigantic smile as Lewis. In one particularly gruesome scene, Skye is chased by a group of smiling creatures down a narrow hallway.

But in what may be the creepiest scene in the world Smile 2 trailer, Skye is approached by a young girl after a show for what the singer believes will be a request for an autograph. The girl’s face is frozen in that same horrible grin that Skye Lewis saw in the moments before his death, without changing a bit as a surprised Skye signs the girl’s shirt with her marker.

If Smile 2 As Skye’s investigation progresses, Skye’s investigation will likely lead her to the horrific truth that she is the next to be driven to suicide by a demon that moves from victim to victim, tormenting everyone until their final moments.

The 2022 original was a box office success, grossing over $217 million despite a production budget of just $17 million. But if the Smile 2 trailer is any indication as to the quality of the sequel, its predecessor’s ticket sales might pale in comparison.
