A car accident leaves two Fox Lane High School students hospitalized

Two Fox Lane High School students were hospitalized early Wednesday morning after a car crash in Bedford, police said.

According to the Bedford Police Department, the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Bedford Road and Edna Street.

Police said a Honda Accord traveling north on Bedford Road lost control and struck a car in the JV Auto parking lot, causing damage to other vehicles.

The two teens were freed from the wreckage and taken to Westchester Medical Center. One student is in critical condition, while the other is stable, police said.

The identities and ages of the students have not been released.

In a statement, Dr. Robert Glass, Superintendent of Bedford Schools, said in part: “As more information becomes available, we expect it to travel quickly to our students through unofficial sources. Our full guidance team is available to support our students as needed.”
