Director Shawn Levy Says DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE Is The Toughest Film He’s Made And Talks About DEADPOOL 4 — GeekTyrant

Director Shawn Levy plays a brand new movie game with Marvel Studios and Deadpool and Wolverineand he recently opened up about his experiences making the film and whether or not there are any conversations to return for Deadpool 4.

During a recent interview, the filmmaker was asked about the possibility of returning to the helm of another Deadpool movie, and while this is an answer he doesn’t have, he does say so Deadpool and Wolverine was the hardest thing he’s ever done.

Levy said: “Most of the time I have to lie. I wait for the questions when I have to lie and pretend I don’t know the answer, but this one I can honestly say I don’t know.”

He added, “But I can say in the same breath, ‘Man, this is the hardest and most all-consuming thing I’ve ever done. But it was also the most creatively satisfying.'”

The director continued: “Because with Deadpool there are no rules. It is, in its DNA, built on tonal daring. So what a joy for a filmmaker. And to do it with my best friend Ryan, my other friend Hugh, we three who have known each other for a long time now, it was just great.”

“Because when you work with friends, you don’t mind making fun of yourself. And when you work on something comedic, you better be prepared to fall on your face,” he concluded.

One thing I know for sure is that Deadpool & Wolverine is going to be a huge hit and Marvel and Disney will want to keep raking in the money with more Deadpool movies. We can only hope that as they continue to produce these films, they will ensure that the quality remains high.

Levy recently said he would like to have one Deadpool and Spider Man movie, something that would be great!

Levy said: “The thing about Deadpool is that I think he makes everything more interesting because of his daring. But boy, I would definitely love to see Deadpool and Spidey. That’s a movie I would love to make. I feel like Tom Netherlands would run circles around everyone.”

I would love nothing more than for this to be the next Deadpool movie! What do you think of the future of the Deadpool film franchise?

It’s pretty wild to look back on the franchise and how 20th Century Fox avoided it for so long, and they would have continued to avoid it if that concept trailer hadn’t been leaked, leading to fans asking for it.
