Women’s T20 Asia Cup: India beat Pakistan by 7 wickets in first match

DAMBULA: The Indian women’s cricket team defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in their first match of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Friday. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first with a target of 109 after being bowled out with four deliveries remaining. During the first innings, Sidra Ameen top-scored for Pakistan with 25 off 35 balls followed by Tuba Hassan’s 22 off 19 balls. Indian bowlers dominated the Pakistani batters with Deepti Sharma claiming 3-20, Renuka Singh 2-14, Pooja Vastrakar 2-31 and Shreyanka Patel ending the innings with 2-14.
