Google unveils Pixel 9 Pro Fold early

Washington

In a strategic move to get ahead of leaks and speculation, Google has unveiled the highly-anticipated Pixel 9 Pro Fold, just hours after the official unveiling of the Pixel 9 Pro.

The surprise reveal on Google’s official YouTube channel comes in the form of a short teaser video about the Gemini project, which gives a sneak peek at Google’s upcoming foldable Android device.

The decision to introduce the Pixel 9 Pro Fold early comes after numerous leaks and rumors circulating the internet in recent weeks.

According to The Verge, Google wants to end the uncertainty surrounding the design and naming of its next generation of foldable smartphones.

The teaser video released by Google gives a clear look at some key features of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

What stands out is the dual-lens camera module on the back, which hints at improved photographic capabilities.

Additionally, the video shows off the device’s display and hinge, hinting at a robust and innovative design, according to The Verge.

While the teaser offers a sneak peek at the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, more details regarding specs and upgrades over its predecessor, the first-generation Pixel Fold, are expected to be revealed during Google’s hardware event scheduled for August 13.

According to The Verge, not only the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Pixel 9 Pro will be unveiled during the event, but also the Pixel Watch 3 and other expected devices.
