1 person dead in shooting in far east El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — One person was killed in a shooting in Far East El Paso early Saturday morning, July 20, El Paso police reported.

Just before 4 a.m., police responded to a report of multiple gunshots heard in the area of ​​4101 Rich Beem Blvd. near the Gonzalez Park Apartments, police said.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found one fatally injured person in the parking lot, officers said.

Both the Crimes Against Persons Unit and the Criminological Service arrived on the scene to assist with the investigation.

Police say this is an ongoing investigation and is still in its early stages.
