On the back of Ollie Pope’s century, the hosts scored 416 runs in the first innings while West Indies scored 457 runs in reply to gain a crucial lead of 41 runs. Kavem Hodge scored a century while Alick Athanaze and Joshua de Silva scored fifties to secure the team’s lead.

The Test match between West Indies and England in Nottingham has been going well so far. The batsmen showed their strength in the first three days of play. After losing the toss, England batted first and made a comeback after losing the first wicket early on to score 416 runs. After Jack Crowley flopped, Ben Duckett played an innings of 71 runs and wrapped up the innings. After that, Ollie Pap tightened the grip of the England team in the match by scoring 121 runs in 167 balls. Captain Ben Stokes also played an innings of 69 runs. For West Indies, Alzari Joseph took 3 wickets while Jayden Seals, Kevin Sinclair and Kavem Hodge took 2-2 wickets each.
