Crash closes Highway 1 near Chase

On July 20, a half-mile stretch of Highway 1 between Little River Road and Lindburg Road was closed due to a traffic accident.

The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. and occurred 7.5 miles east of the town of Chase.

Drive BC has confirmed an assessment is underway, but travelers should expect significant delays as the road remains closed.

Alternate routes are available via Hwy 97, Hwy 97A and Hwy 97B.

The next Drive BC update is scheduled for 5pm.
