International fugitive arrested in Tennessee; 3 children rescued from home

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WATE) — Authorities arrested a fugitive wanted for alleged child sex crimes and rescued three children from his Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, home earlier this month, INTERPOL Washington reported Friday.

The suspect, identified as Bahamian man Angelo McQueen, was accused of committing sex crimes against a minor in Nassau before traveling to Florida as a B2 non-immigrant visitor on March 1, 2024. INTERPOL said authorities also suspect he abducted his biological daughter and brought her to the U.S.

McQueen was arrested on July 5 during a joint operation between the US Marshal Service, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and INTERPOL Washington.

The three children found in his home are now in the care of the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services. Authorities have not released further details.

At the time of his arrest, McQueen was employed at the Dollywood amusement park in Pigeon Forge.

A Dollywood spokesperson confirmed that McQueen was an employee of an outside cleaning company hired by Dollywood.

The subject was an employee of APDC Cleaning Services, Inc. (APDC), a third-party staffing service that recruits and hires international workers. APDC was responsible for identity checks and work permits for its employees assigned to Dollywood. He was assigned to a back-of-house position at Dollywood, but was not working at the time of his arrest. Dollywood has terminated its business relationship with APDC and is in the process of separating all other APDC contract workers assigned to the park. Any further information or questions regarding the subject should be directed to APDC or law enforcement.

McQueen is now in ICE custody pending deportation proceedings, INTERPOL Washington said.
