Two Class 7 Girls Flee to Shirdi, Tracked Down

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Two minor girls, residents of Katara Hills, allegedly fled the city on the pretext of going to school. The duo was about to leave for Shirdi but were traced by the police and handed over to their families, police said. Brijendra Nigam, resident officer of Katara Hills police station (SHO), said both the girls are students of class 7. They had wanted to go to Shirdi for a long time.

On Friday, they left their homes on the pretext of going to school, but instead went to Manubhaan Tekri. They spent the entire day there. When they returned home late on Friday night, their relatives filed a complaint at the police station. The police started searching for the girls. They searched over 50 CCTV camera footages to trace the whereabouts of the girls.

TI Nigam added that one of them had Rs 1,000 with him while the other had Rs 500. One of them had a mobile phone with him but had removed the SIM card from the phone. Once she had inserted a new SIM card in her phone, the police traced their location using the IMEI number on Saturday and contacted them at Bairagarh railway station. The girls were handed over to their relatives after their statements were recorded.
