A four-year-old girl living in Gotri area of ​​Vadodara died during treatment at Sayaji Hospital in the city. She was being treated for suspected Chandipura virus infection. 

Following her death, health officials in the city began carrying out disinfection operations in Gotri area.

Meanwhile, the report of an eight-year-old girl who is undergoing treatment at Parul Hospital has come positive.

As per details, the four-year-old fell ill on July 17. She was first treated for diarrhoea, vomiting and fever. But with the symptoms resembling those of Chandipura infection, she was admitted to the pediatric department of Sayaji Hospital for treatment. Her samples were sent for report. But before the report came, she died.
