2 Ravens rookies should bolster starting lineup on offense

2 Ravens rookies should bolster starting lineup on offense

When you have quarterback Lamar Jackson, you have some room for error when it comes to playing rookies on offense. The Baltimore Ravens have a big problem and they know that Jackson’s skillset elevates the play of those around him based on the attention he draws.

So when we look at the Ravens roster and their current class of 2024 rookies, we see a lot of potential for players who can come in and contribute right away. First up, we have offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten.

Overshadowed by Troy Fautanu, Rosengarten was an exceptional blocker in his own right for Washington. Baltimore has one of the best left tackles in the NFL in Ronnie Stanley, and Rosengarten should be a great bookend with Stanley on the right side.

We also like the idea of wide receiver Devontez Walker starting alongside Nelson Agholor and Zay Flowers. Rashod Bateman is currently slated to start, but this could be a training camp battle that goes down to the wire.

While we’re not predicting any rookies on defense, we do have to specifically mention cornerbacks TJ Tampa and Nate Wiggins. They should see their share of reps in this defense, and Wiggins in particular has the potential to start as a rookie.
