ANKARA (IGFA) – Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared on his social media account within a week details of traffic controls carried out by police and gendarmerie groups.

Minister Yerlikaya stated that measures have been taken against 214 drivers who used devices with light or audible warning signs (strobes) on vehicles that are not permitted by the legislation, and said: “11 million 18 thousand 2024 vehicles were inspected by our police and gendarmerie traffic groups between July 2-406, 651. Together with other processes, a total of 115 thousand 866 vehicles/drivers, including 23 thousand 954 who violated the speed limit, 16 thousand 343 who did not have periodic inspections, 14 thousand 60 who did not wear seat belts, 9 thousand 178 who drove without a driver’s license and 400 thousand 980 who did not have compulsory liability insurance. “The process has been completed,” he said.

Ali Yerlikaya, who also posted images of traffic team checks in his post, said: “Strictly observe traffic rules, do not drive too fast. Let’s not forget to wear a seat belt. “Travel is to reunite with your loved ones, not to separate you.” He used the expressions.
