A YouTuber’s breakdown of the Mahindra Thar’s on-road price has revealed that it includes an additional cost of nearly Rs. 8 lakh. Anshu Maurya, better known as YouTube Wale Baba, explains in a video how the final price works out to around ₹18.5 lakh – despite the base price being just ₹10.6 lakh.

A YouTuber’s analysis of the Mahindra Thar The on-road price has revealed that this includes additional costs worth almost Rs 8 lakh. Anshu Mauryabetter known as YouTube Wale Baba, explains in a video how the final price comes to around ₹18.5 lakh, despite the base price being just ₹10.6 lakh.

“How much does this cost? That cost? ₹18.5 lakh. But I will show you the reality of the Indian government,” he says in the clip.

Maurya, holding an invoice for a Thar purchase, points out that the basic payment is ₹10,64,000. However, the central and state goods and services taxes (GST) are 14% each, which comes to ₹2,96,000.
