Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren helps Assam with Rs 2 Crore

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday announced that Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has provided Rs 2 crore in relief to the flood-affected people in Assam.

Sarma expressed his gratitude to Soren and the people of Jharkhand for their generosity.

”Honourable Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren Ji has generously donated Rs 2 crore to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support the flood victims,” Sarma said on X.

”On behalf of the people of Assam, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the generosity of the kind-hearted people of Jharkhand and the honourable Prime Minister,” he said.

Floods, landslides, lightning strikes and storms have so far killed at least 113 people in the state.

More than 1.30 lakh people spread across 10 districts remain affected by the disaster.
