Naagin 7: Rumors Are Rising That Ekta Kapoor’s Show Won’t Air on Colors This Year

The Naagin franchise is one of the big shows for Colors. It has built a decent fan following over the years. The last season of Naagin 6 starring Tejasswi Prakash, Simba Nagpal and Pratik Sehajpal had a long enough run on TV. Many thought that Naagin 7 would air in August or September 2024. But it seems that the channel has not decided on that yet. For the past year, names of actresses like Ayesha Singh, Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Ankita Lokhande have been doing the rounds as the lead actresses for the show.

The channel’s daily shows like Mangal Lakshmi, Parineetii, Mera Balam Thanedaar are doing quite well. Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek and Sudesh Lehri’s Laughter Chefs have been a huge success. It seems that the channel has decided to continue with those shows. Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 will also be airing soon. Naagin 6 has been made on the theme of a deadly virus. After seasons 1, 2 and 3, it has been the most successful. Moreover, Bigg Boss 18 will also start in the month of October.

In between, there were rumours that Ankit Gupta would play the lead in Naagin 7. His team denied it. He is now doing Maati Se Bandhi Door. Later, Shehzada Dhami’s name was also doing the rounds. But there was no confirmation. It seems that a meeting took place between the production house executives and the channel people, but there was no clarity on the month and time.

The team at Balaji Telefilms has put all preparations for Naagin 7 on hold. The first season had TRPs of more than 3 for the channel. Mouni Roy and Arjun Bijlani were the leads. The actress became a household name with it. Mouni Roy returned with Karanvir Bohra in season number two. It was a mixed bag. Pearl V Puri and Surbhi Jyoti were magical in Naagin 3, which was a fairly successful season. Nia Sharma, Jasmin Bhasin and Rashami Desai were in season four, which was the most haphazard of the bunch.
