3 Body Problem season 2 premiere date: Updated July 2024

Now that we are in July 2024, what can we say about 3 Body Problem season 2? Will we have more news soon?

Well, we should first note that the film adaptation has been in the news a bit this past week, largely because of its Emmy nomination for Drama Series. That’s probably a nice boost for the expensive Netflix hit as we wait to see what the future holds, and also how much more the powers that be are going to promote it.

Does this affect the premiere of the series? We don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up here, so let’s just give you a straight answer right now: No. There is almost a zero percent chance that Netflix will change their plans, because they can only do so much. This is a series that takes a long time to make and there is absolutely no denying that.

So don’t expect any news about a premiere date for the rest of the month. In fact, we’d be shocked if there was any word on a July premiere date next year. We often think that the show might not return to air until early 2026. If it does, we’ll be shocked, but in a good way.

In case you haven’t heard, the plan is for two more seasons. 3 Body problem, allowing the show to tell its entire intended story. In the meantime, we hope it can draw a bigger audience here in the States — before the Emmy nomination, it seemed like the show had lost interest.
