Guilty Gear Strive Season 4 announced, Cyberpunk 2077 character joins

Arc System Works has released a new trailer for the next Guilty equipment Strive Season. Announced at Evo 2024, the game looks to have a few more surprises in store for fans as it heads into its fourth season. Today, a trailer was released that outlines some of the major changes coming to Strive Fight for Guilty Gear.

The new Team of 3 mode looks crazy already. From the looks of it, one character is the main character and the other two are assists. Meyhem is probably much further along than what is shown here. The brief preview of this mode doesn’t do it much justice, but the hints seem to paint a picture of what to expect.

New exclusive character colours will be available together with new stages where the Daredevils can have fun.

Lucy, from the Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners anime will be the very first guest character to join the Guilty equipment series. CD Projekt Red seems to be giving their blessing to this addition. How she plays or what her kit is, we won’t find out until 2025 or early 2024. Honestly, I was hoping for Adam Smasher.

This isn’t the first time a CD Projekt Red franchise has crossed over into a fighting game. Geralt accidentally teleported into the Swords and Souls stories in Soul Calibur VI not so long ago. Armed with both swords, spells and potions, Geralt fit in perfectly with the likes of Mitsurugi, Seigfred and the like. He even got a nice spot on the cover.

Some classic Gears will be returning to the game. Queen Dizzy in October 2024. Venom will be in the queue in early 2025. A new character, Urika, will also be joining the cast in 2025. Urika resembles a certain character from the new Double rulers anime from the franchise.

The Guilty Gear Strive Season Pass 4 will start tomorrow.
