Did a Bethesda employee accidentally leak the Elder Scrolls 6 setting?

The wait for news about Elder Scrolls 6 has been excruciating, but observant fans of the franchise think they’ve just discovered a potential leak about the sequel’s setting.

Elder Scrolls 6 was first revealed to the world six years ago in 2018, and not much has been revealed about the game since then, leaving prospective players with a slow trickle of information.

Deciphering possible details from job postings or carefully reading potential hints from Todd Howard are all Elder Scrolls 6 candidates have had to do. Until now, that is.

Reddit user nitsuaztnarf has discovered what they believe to be a serious leak that reveals the setting of Elder Scrolls 6. A Bethesda employee’s Pinterest feed is filled with inspirational images that suggest Hammerfell will play a major role in the upcoming RPG.

The Pinterest feed itself is filled with images of clothing and weapons from cultures that strongly resemble the Redguard band from Skyrim. There are also a number of images of desert locations and architecture that players have spotted, further confirming that Hammerfell will be the setting of Elder Scrolls 6.

“Hammerfell would be so f**king cool,” one user commented in the thread. “The Elder Scrolls 4 and 5 are clearly influenced by the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I hope The Elder Scrolls 6 is their answer to Dune and the Mandalorian,” another player commented.

The Pinterest feed also contained reference photos from Denis Villeneuve’s Dune adaptations. Since the Reddit thread and other posts referencing these images became popular, the Pinterest account has been made private, and fans have taken that as further evidence that their guesses about the setting of Elder Scrolls 6 are correct.

Hammerfell has been the supposed setting of Elder Scrolls 6 by players since it was first revealed. Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed by Bethesda yet, so all of this speculation should be taken with a grain of salt.
