Starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk, Bad news debuted to mixed reception when it first hit theatres on July 19. The Anand Tiwari-directed romantic comedy had a respectable start to the weekend at the box office and has remained steady. The film debuted below the 10-crore mark but saw an upward trend on its second day. With this, it has surpassed the three-day total of a major Eid release like ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyanstarring Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan had a respectable start at the box office. The Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff film grossed Rs 8.50 crore at the box office on its third day of release. The action thriller grossed Rs 15.65 crore on its first day and Rs 7.60 crore on its second.’Bade Miyan Chote Miyan‘ is an intense action thriller written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the antagonist in the Akshay-Tiger starrer. Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, Ronit Roy Bose and several other actors play important roles in the film. Sonakshi Sinha makes a special cameo appearance. Releasing on April 11, BMCM clashed with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidan‘ in the cinema.
