North Texas SC loses 4-0 to Houston Dynamo 2

Houston, Texas (July 21, 2024) – North Texas SC (9-3-5, 36 points) suffered a 4-0 loss to Houston Dynamo 2 (5-7-5, 21 points) on Sunday night at Shell Energy Stadium.

CREATING HISTORY
FC Dallas Academy midfielder Steel Cook is the youngest North Texas SC player to make his professional debut at 14 years, 9 months and 8 days. Cook entered the game as a substitute in the 80th minute. He is the fifth-youngest player in MLS NEXT Pro history to make his debut.

Goalie Michael Collodi made four saves tonight. Collodi now ranks third in both single-season and all-time saves with 44, trailing only Carlos Avilez (78) and Antonio Carrera (130). FC Dallas’ Academy product Daniel Baran made his first professional career start, playing 90 minutes. Baran has appeared in six games, played 272 minutes and had two shots on goal this season.
