The Austintown 12U Softball team defeats Appleton, Wisconsin, 3-0 in the opening round of the Little League World Series in the Central Region

WHITESTOWN, Indiana (WKBN) – The Austintown 12U Ohio softball team defeated Appleton, Wisconsin, 3-0 in the opening round of the Little League World Series in the Central Region.

Austintown’s Mila Hamley went the distance in 6 innings, striking out 17 batters in the win. Marissa Polder also drove in 1 run for Austintown in the win.

Austintown will be back in action on Wednesday, July 23 at 7:00 PM against an undecided opponent in Whitestown.
