Xiaomi Mix Flip: SD 8 Gen 3 CPU, 4780mAh battery, 4.0″ cover screen

Xiaomi is finally getting into the foldable flip phone trend with the launch of the first Xiaomi Mix Flip.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip immediately impresses with its large 4.01-inch cover display. It covers almost the entire surface, with cutouts for the main cameras. It looks similar to the new Razr+ and the Magic V Flip, and Xiaomi calls it the All Around Liquid Outer display because it has a functional area with a 16:9 aspect ratio, so you can run apps with a normal look.

We have a 6.86-inch OLED panel for the foldable main display with a high refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 3000nits. It also has a good mechanical hinge that can completely close the device without any gaps and allows you to operate the device at an angle of 45 to 135 degrees.

The main display has a 32MP selfie camera. There are two 50MP cameras on the cover display. The main camera has a bright f/1.7 aperture and offers good dynamic range. The other is a 2x telephoto with a 46mm equivalent that is great for portraits.

The device is powered by a true flagship chip, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is connected to a large 3500mm² vapor chamber to keep the device cool.

The battery has a capacity of 4,780mAh, one of the largest on a flip phone. It is paired with a fast 67W HyperCharge adapter. It comes with Xiaomi’s Android 14-based HyperOS.

Those in China can get the Xiaomi Mix Flip for a price of CNY5,999 (~Php48,200) for the 12GB/256GB, CNY6,499 (~Php52,200) for the 12GB/512GB and CNY7,299 (~Php58,600) for the 16GB/1TB. It should arrive in the Philippines soon, so stay tuned.
