Tekken 8 Brings Heihachi Back from the Dead This Fall 2024; Tekken World Tour Finals Schedule Revealed

While everyone thought Heihachi died in Tekken 7 at the hands of his son Kazuya, it seems we were all wrong! Heihachi Mishima is still alive and will be making his way into Tekken 8 this fall!

This was revealed by Bandai Namco Entertainment last weekend during the Evo Fighting Championships, where we also got to see the first trailer for the character.

Yeah, as you might expect, you can’t really kill anyone permanently in comics. Movies and games, apparently. I’m not complaining, because the character is my favorite Tekken fighter.

Don’t know how Heihachi died? Short story: Kazuya fought him in devil form in the mouth of a volcano, and when he was defeated, Kazuya threw Heihachi into the magma (sound familiar?), all the while chanting the words that Heihachi had taught Kazuya to live by, which were “The only thing that matters is who’s left, nothing else.”

In addition to the announcement in Heihachi, Bandai Namco also announced that the Tekken World Tour Finals 2024 will be held from December 5th to 8th in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan!

As soon as we know more details about Heichai, we’ll let our readers know. Don’t forget that Lidia joins the Tekken 8 roster this week, which will come with a patch.
