TEKKEN 8 and NIKE just did it in Las Vegas by announcing a partnership and debuting sneakers at EVO 2024

Bandai Namco revealed ‘Nike x Tekken 8’, previewed upcoming in-game gear and launched the first limited edition of the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Kazuya Mishima’

Bandai Namco Europe took to the stage and livestream at EVO 2024 to reveal an extensive partnership with Nike, Inc. TEKKEN™8bringing the world’s largest athletic footwear and apparel brand into the legendary fighting game universe. The partnership includes digital in-game content coming soon this fall, including digital Nike Air Foamposite One sneakers inspired by Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. Bandai Namco and Nike also made the surprise announcement that a limited edition physical Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Kazuya Mishima’ would be available for purchase for show attendees.

At EVO, TO DRAW Project Director Katsuhiro Harada, TEKKEN™8 Game Director Kohei Ikeda and Producer Michael Murray took the stage to announce the partnership with Nike. Fans were given hints at what to expect from Nike content coming to the game, with a trailer featuring various characters showing off their strikingly stylized Nike Air Foamposite One sneakers, as well as the iconic Nike swoosh appearing on the background billboards in a special version of the game’s Times Square-inspired level, Urban Square.

For the finale, Harada, Ikeda, and Murray were joined onstage by Nike Senior Designer – Graphic Design Juan Huerta, and the presenters performed the ultimate mic drop, dropping shoes and surprising fans by revealing the physical Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Kazuya Mishima’ sneakers. A distinctly stylish extension of the character that inspired them, the sleek and shiny black sneakers were available in extremely limited quantities and could only be purchased through the Nike app by those geolocated as being at EVO. Bandai Namco and Nike will reveal more information about the ‘Nike x TO DRAW‘ collaboration including planned in-game content.

SIGN 8 is the sequel in the legendary fighting game franchise and is now available for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam®.
