Citroën Basalt SUV Coupé fully revealed ahead of August 2 launch; watch official teaser

(MENAFN- AsiaNet News) French carmaker Citroën is all set to add a new product to its fleet in India. It will be known as Basalt. The company has already released an official teaser, which gives a glimpse of its interior and exterior.
The upcoming offering will flaunt a coupe-like design. The model will officially drop all curtains on August 2, 2024.
On the same day, potential buyers could already reserve the car. However, the brand has not yet released any information about this.
The car looks quite aggressive from the outside and packs some top-notch features on the inside, judging from the short teaser shared on social media.

Let’s talk about the exterior first. It gets a distinctive headlamp configuration and sleek DRLs that are reminiscent of the C3 Aircross. The car will be adorned with the company’s chrome emblem, which recalls the C3 Aircross. The wheel arches of the quadricycle are squared off. Also, it gets a coupe-like roofline, which enhances its aesthetic appeal within its class.

The teaser image of the coupe’s interior suggests that it will feature a floating touchscreen infotainment system that will likely support all the vehicle’s wireless connectivity features. The manufacturer has equipped the rear seat passengers with a phone holder, two cup holders and an armrest.

The Basalt SUV coupe will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. A 6-speed automated and manual transmission will be mated to the unit. When the model hits the Indian market, it will take on the Tata Curvv, which is scheduled to launch in August this year.
