Voters in Reed City, Michigan, are encouraged to vote yes on library tax

Voters in Reed City, Lincoln, and Richmond counties, I am writing to encourage you to vote YES to approve an extension of the Reed City Area District Library tax on August 6, 2024.

If approved, it will be for the next ten years. This is an extension, not an increase.

Our library is a treasure trove of resources that are freely accessible to anyone living in these three areas.

Some of the many services we offer, in addition to borrowing books, are: Public computers and internet access, Movies to borrow, 157 programs, something for everyone, Access to MelCat to borrow any book from any library in the state of Michigan. E-books through Libby.

If the tax is not renewed, there is a good chance that we will even lose our library in the near future.

Mark your calendars to vote YES to renew the Reed City Area District library tax on August 6th. Be sure to turn your ballot over as this issue is on the back of the ballot.
