Daily Recap 7/22 – Bachelorette Jenn Episode #3 Tonight, a crazy first week in the Big Brother house, claim to fame is revealed

You’re listening to the Daily Roundup as part of the Reality Steve podcast. I’m your host Reality Steve. Thank you all for tuning in to a great Monday show for you guys. We’re going to talk about the fact that there was no live stream last night. I’ll talk about that briefly. We’re going to talk briefly about episode 3 of Jen, season of the Bachelorette tonight. There’s a lot of Big Brother talk to talk about from last night and the craziness that happened this past weekend. Man, I’m getting sucked into the live feeds.

And I’m also going to talk about claim to fame, because apparently on Tik TOK there’s someone who has researched everyone’s relatives and I’ve read it and I’ve seen it all. I, I, I, okay, we’ll get to it. Tropical Smoothie Cafe just wants to celebrate summer with you guys this week.

From July 22nd to July 28th, Tropic Rewards members get a free Island Punch Smoothie with the purchase of any bowl or food, peach, guava, passion fruit, mango, and pineapple. Order online in the app or in the cafe. You are now at Tropic Time at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. As you know, I did not do a livestream last night. It happens sometimes.

I had some family stuff that I wouldn’t get back until 7:30, 7:45. My time, that’s central time. And I just didn’t want to push it back to eight o’clock because then I’d be running into Big Brother. And yeah, so I just decided, and that came about two or three hours beforehand, so that’s why I put it there, but I expect it to come back.

It will definitely be back next Sunday night, unless something crazy happens. And we will have a guest. And just go over a lot of things that are going on in reality TV and pop culture. I don’t know who the guest is yet, but I think I have an idea, but we’ll see. But. It’s not going to be often that I don’t do a YouTube livestream on a Sunday night.

But then I thought about it, when I finally canceled it, I thought, you know what, not much happened this week in Bachelor Nation. Really? I mean, the Rachel Brian thing, I didn’t really talk about that this week, because there’s not really much to add. We know the basics, Rachel and Brian are going through a divorce.

She asked the judge to pay him 10,000 a month. He asked for 16,000 a month and the judge agreed to 13 in principle. Now Brian also took to Instagram over the weekend to reveal that he is working with a divorce coach and he posted a three-part Instagram feed story about his collaboration with this divorce coach.

I don’t think it’s a great look. Divorces are supposed to be private. You don’t want it to be public. I don’t really know why he’s doing this, but again, I haven’t watched it. His first part, which he released on Saturday. I can’t imagine watching it and being overly impressed by it. And like, Oh yeah, absolutely.

Do you see why you’re putting this out? I’m sure there’s some kind of exchange going on about why he’s doing this and putting it out in three parts. I do, but again, I’m not going to give my opinion on it. What I think about it. Because I haven’t watched it or read a summary of it. So I just think the whole idea of playing out your social media divorce in three different Instagram posts is a little extreme.

I know he did get approached by Kevin Wendt, who is Astrid’s husband, which. I get why Kevin did it. Astrid is Rachel’s girlfriend, so of course Kevin is going to side with his wife, who is friends with Rachel. I get it. But what he said wasn’t wrong. Man, he didn’t have to do that. Now Kevin could have easily told Brian that in private.

Like Brian said to him, this could have been done in a DM. You didn’t have to bring this up publicly. So again, it’s just, you’re going to side with whoever you want. If you like Rachel, you think what Brian is doing is horrible. If you like Brian, you think he has every right to express his opinion publicly.

It’s just, again, there’s no winning. So I’m not going to give my opinion on this video. I just think personally, if it was me, I would just do it. If I was going through a divorce, I probably wouldn’t do it publicly in three videos. Hey, that’s just I’m not going to waste any more time on this until we have more facts about what’s going on.

And maybe there will be a racist reaction to it. I’m sure there will be some kind of shadow thrown at him. I can’t imagine she’s going to accept this and Rachel thinks this is a brilliant idea. We’ll just have to wait and see what’s said next. But like we said, when this first went public, it just gets uglier.

There is nothing about this that is going to be a good look. I don’t think it’s going to be good for either side, I really don’t. It’s just bad that this is being played out in public. Unfortunately, episode three, tonight of the bachelorette, they’re still in Australia tonight. We get a strip date. What a surprise. This show is going to strip the men down to their underwear.

Is there a season where I have to go to bachelor dates with this. How many seasons in a row have we been on The Bachelorette where at least one date during the season has the guys strip down to bikini bottoms or their underwear or whatever, it’s got to be 10 in a row, come on Yosef’s daughter is watching tonight’s episode.

You can’t do this. I just. They love putting the boys in bikini bottoms or having them in their underwear or not having them in any panties at all. I’d like to know how many seasons in a row we’ve had at least one date like this. I think. I mean, I might be exaggerating by 10, but I think it’s at least five when I think about it.

Can I remember every date for every season? No. I do know that for the charity season last summer there was definitely one, right? The Barbie date was a type of date where you had boys in bikini bottoms. Right. I thought so. And if it wasn’t that date, there was probably another date, but hey, they just love putting the boys in their underwear.

We’re going to get that tonight, and it’s also the date that Sam Najad, the virgin, is going to declare his love for Jen, which is just ridiculous. You know why? Because we don’t actually see him talk to her in the first episode. And he’s clearly saying this because a producer made him do it, because Sam, you’re not in love with Jen.

Seriously. Just shut up. It’s so ridiculous. Stop being three episodes in and less than a week into filming and telling a girl you love her when you haven’t even been on a date with her. You’re just making yourself look even more ridiculous. And then we have a four-on-one race date, with Austin, Aaron, Brian, not Brian.

That was who I originally thought was on the date, Austin, Aaron, Jeremy, and Hakeem. And, and then Spencer gets the one-on-one where they take a helicopter ride to the Twelve Apostles tourist site. And then they go somewhere for the nighttime part, and they make out, and they get a fireworks show.

But it continues tonight. And I think that tonight after tonight, we can start to shape these, you know, episodes four and five that are coming out over the next two weeks, because that’s where I have the actual eliminations. I don’t know exactly who’s going home every episode. I just know who’s going home over the course of two episodes.

And we’ll see how many make it. Because for a long time I thought 11 would make it to New Zealand, but Spencer and 11 other guys were featured in future episodes. Screenshots from the season preview. That means I have to think 12 will make it to New Zealand, unless I’m missing something completely, but I think 12 will make it to New Zealand.

Three are eliminated tonight. And that’s Thomas Asano and Hakeem goes home in this episode. And then the whole Aaron Herb thing, you know, I said it at the end of my column last week. The spoiler at the beginning of the season was that Aaron had to leave because the flight school called him and said he had to be back in Mobile, Alabama for flight school or he would miss this opportunity.

But the preview doesn’t sound like Aaron got some sort of call. To leave the show. So maybe they’re just going to the heart, you know, maybe that’s what happened behind the scenes. I know that’s what happened, but it sounds like Aaron gets sent home because he talks too much shit about the other boys and Jen sends them away because we see him clearly at the rose ceremony, talking shit about the other boys and saying, these boys aren’t here for the right reasons.

She said, you can’t just do that to me and not name names. He said, no, I just don’t want to name names. Then of course he’ll be sent home. So what I’ve been told. It’s also true that he had to go away for flight school, but it doesn’t seem like that’s the reason they’re showing him tonight that he’s being eliminated.
