SMB’s Jogela limits PBA import height by a fraction of an inch

OSAKA – Tauras Jogela’s transfer to San Miguel has been approved after the Lithuanian reached the height limit for the PBA Governors’ Cup on Monday.

Team Governor Robert Non received the good news from Manila after Jogela was officially measured at the league office in Libis, Quezon City.

“6/5 7/8 said Non”, the official height of the Lithuanian.

Jogela, a former member of the Lithuanian under-16 national team, was somewhat concerned about his height this past weekend. According to FIBA, his official height is 2.03 meters, while in other competitions he is 1.98 meters tall.

He is the latest European import to play in the PBA after Serbian Nick Rakocevic of Magnolia in the 2023 Commissioner’s Cup
