Witcher 3 developer reveals secrets we’ve yet to discover

Even The Witcher 3 came out almost ten years ago and Cyberpunk2077 has been on store shelves for over four years now, but one of CD Projekt Red’s most beloved staff members is pretty sure we still haven’t discovered all of the games’ secrets.

Pawel Sasko, best known for his work as The Witcher 3The lead mission designer told podcast channel Flow Games that he’s confident he has at least “a few examples” of secrets that players have yet to discover.

Sasko ultimately remained tight-lipped about what exactly these secrets entailed or how players could find them, but he did specifically reference players’ ongoing quest to decipher the meaning behind these secrets. Cyberpunk2077‘s elusive FF:06:B5 mystery.

In case of The Witcher 3. Some may be surprised that there are still secrets hidden in such a beloved, popular title from that era, but diehard fans would probably have assumed this given the history.

A very famous secret was discovered in The Witcher 3 more than seven years after its release, in which a hidden method was used to discover a character’s untimely death.

Sasko said he enjoys reading community theories and seeing how people grapple with the choices in the games he’s worked on, so he’ll no doubt be pleased if this news inspires fans of either game to dig even deeper.

That said, given how much pleasure he gets from watching players work themselves to death, it would be very typical if Sasko were simply trying to entice fans into discovering secrets that don’t actually exist.

It wouldn’t be the first time a developer misled his beloved community into searching for something that doesn’t exist. Maybe Pawel Sasko is trying to learn from Hidetaka Miyazaki.
