Bad Newz Box Office Day 3: Vicky Kaushal’s Film Maintains Strong Weekend, Earns Rs 11.5 Crores

Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri’s Bad Newz is making waves at the box office. Within 3 days, the film has already collected around Rs 30 Crores at the box office. On day 1, the film earned around Rs 8.62 Crores, and now on the second day, the film has collected around Rs 10 Crores. According to a report in Sacknilk, the film has now collected over Rs 11.15 Crores.

The film, which also stars Ammy Virk in a pivotal role, recorded an overall occupancy of 28.78 percent in the Hindi market. While the morning shows saw a occupancy of 13.01 percent, it rose to 34.64 percent and 41.72 percent during the afternoon and evening shows respectively. Bad Newz, helmed by producers Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari, is a romantic comedy that features a new trio of talents — Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. The film’s unconventional storyline, in which Dimri’s character learns that she is expecting twins from two different fathers, played by Kaushal and Virk, has intrigued the audience and created curiosity about the film’s plot.

Vicky Kaushal has also grabbed attention with his dance moves in the song Tauba Tauba. Apart from that, his sizzling chemistry with Triptii in the intimate song Jaanam has also grabbed everyone’s attention. Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz also features Neha Dhupia.

He may be mischievous but he is the greenest green flag, who loves selflessly with all his heart. He is the one who single-handedly tries to elevate this mediocre script. His comic timing is great but he definitely deserved funnier dialogues. His banter with Ammy is pure gold. A special mention goes to the scene where Akhil and Gurbir meet for the first time at a doctor’s clinic to get their paternity test done. Their chemistry is, frankly, richer than that of Akhil and Saloni.”

“All in all, Bad Newz stays true to its title. It’s just a beautiful film that shines on the surface. It could have been so much more. The makers barely touch on the moral scrutiny that a woman at the center of heteropaternal superfecundation can undergo. Then again, they could have easily done away with the many songs that pop up every now and then. The film is all Vicky and his Tauba Tauba, but let us warn you that you’ll have to sit through the end if you want to see the actor groove smoothly to the cool beats.
