Arn Anderson Says WWE ‘Can’t Miss’ John Cena’s 17th World Title Win

Arn Anderson may be a staunch ally of Ric Flair, but he has voiced his support for John Cena, who broke Flair’s record with 16 world titles.

Since Cena announced at Money in the Bank 2024 that he wants to retire, fans have been speculating whether John will win his 17th world title.

In a recent edition of his “ARN” podcast, Anderson said that WWE “can’t miss” if they get a record-breaking win for Cena. He said,

“He’s going to grab that elusive, what is it, 17th world title? Yeah, I don’t think you can miss, you can’t miss with that.”

Cena’s most recent championship victory came at the 2017 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view, where he defeated AJ Styles.

Currently, there are no matches announced for Cena’s retirement tour. Several wrestlers, both inside and outside of WWE, have put their names forward as possible opponents.

Matt Hardy has said he hopes Cena wins the 17th world title, while Booker T has said he is against it.
