Marion man dies in Marengo County accident

A Marion man has been killed in a two-vehicle crash in Marengo County.

Officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency say the crash occurred around 11:35 a.m. Friday on Alabama 28, about two miles west of Linden.

According to officials, 37-year-old Tristan Harris was fatally injured when the 2015 Volvo truck he was driving collided with a train and caught fire.

Officials said Harris was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is investigating the accident.
