Official Google Pixel 9 Pro case leaks and promo videos

Official Google Pixel 9 Pro case leaks and promo videos

It’s a new day, and that means it’s time for some new Pixel leaks. Google may have been trying to avoid extensive leaks of its upcoming devices by holding its annual launch event two months earlier than planned in August, but that clearly didn’t work at all.

Following yesterday’s leaks about the Pixel phones, today we have a slew of new leaked promo materials, leaked promo videos, and leaked official cases. Let’s get started.

Official cases for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL have leaked. The former will get silicone cases in Charcoal, Porcelain, Hazelnut, Pink, and Aloe. The latter is strange because the Pixel 9 Pro itself isn’t expected to come in Aloe.

Moving on to the XL model, the cases for this model come in the same colors as the Pixel 9 Pro, except for the Aloe color.

A promotional video for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL was then revealed, which was posted to YouTube but has unfortunately been removed for the time being, “in violation of YouTube’s Terms of Service.” The video focused on the fact that the Pixel Pro will now come in two sizes for the first time. It also underscored Google’s continued commitment to software updates — the company promises seven years of Pixel Feature Drops.

There’s also a quick look at Pixel Screenshots, which makes it easy to search through all the screenshots you’ve previously saved. Of course, Google is also bragging about “Pro-level” cameras on the Pro models, with Super Res Zoom Video and a new AI Add Me feature that lets you take two group shots and then merge them together with AI magic.

This ensures that everyone is included in the resulting photo and the person taking the photo is not left out. Google’s Gemini phone will also get a lot of screen time, as expected in 2024 when artificial intelligence is the biggest buzzword in the tech world.

Finally, we have another leaked video, this time focusing on the “original” Pixel 9. At the time of publishing, this video has not yet been removed by YouTube, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it eventually suffers the same fate as the other video.

The app replaces the Add Me feature with a Magic Editor that uses AI to “redesign” your shots, and boasts that the phone has a “rugged” design, whatever that means. Other than that, it’s pretty much the same, as intended, since it’ll be part of the same ad campaign.
