WJET/WFXP–The Pittsburgh Steelers began their second day of training camp at Saint Vincent College on Friday.

An update on quarterback Russell Wilson: he sat out the first day of training camp due to soreness in his calf.

Head coach Mike Tomlin decided that Wilson would not participate in the team’s first training camp.

On Friday, Wilson was sidelined again for a day.

Now he says it’s just a precaution. Wilson said if the Steelers had a game today, he would play.

“You know, we did a sled push thing, and it’s just been a little bit modified, so… just working hard and sometimes things happen, but the good news is I’m feeling good, and we’ll get there when the time is right. The good thing is I’m getting a lot of mental reps and also throwing things in on the side and after practice.”

The Cleveland Browns also concluded the second day of their training camp at the Greenbrier.

Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson played in an 11-on-11 game for the first time since his season-ending shoulder injury.

According to Watson, he is determined to do things differently this year.

Watson says his rehabilitation is going well and, as you can see, his throwing is getting better.

This is a pivotal year for Watson as he enters his third season with the Browns.

The Buffalo Bills returned to practice on Friday for the third day of training camp.

Quarterback Josh Allen was seen passing the ball to all of his receivers and tight ends.

A notable player was debuting receiver Keon Coleman.

The 33rd overall pick out of Florida State caught multiple passes from Allen, both inside and outside.

Coleman spoke about the learning curve a player goes through during his first NFL training camp.

I’m used to playing everything. There’s no such thing as an x, y or z. You’ve got to get open. You’re called a receiver, not a whatever receiver. You’ve got to get open and it’s hard to learn the playbook by just focusing on one position because you could easily be on the other side of the field, on the inside, on the outside. You could point at it. Things like that. So I learn the playbook conceptually, so I learn concept by concept and learn every spot. So I can be anywhere.
