Rookies lead Team Romero to 5-1 victory over Team Alexander

Davidson, who went 2-for-3 in her professional debut, registered an RBI double in the second inning before belting a two-run homer over the left-field fence in the fourth to give Team Romero a 4-1 lead. The former Duke star was named the game’s MVP 2 and collected 210 leaderboard points.

Kilfoyl earned the win in her professional debut, surrendering one run on six hits and striking out four. She received MVP 1 honors for her efforts, along with 244 leaderboard points.

Corner infielder Delanie Wisz completed the MVP sweep by going 1-for-3 with an RBI single in the third inning to score the eventual game-winning run. She collected 140 leaderboard points as a result of her MVP 3 selection.

Outfielder Bubba Nickles and midfielder Sydney McKinney each a 2-for-3 effort in the loss to Team Alexander. Nickles also drove in the team’s lone run with a single to right in the first inning.

Reigning AU Pro Softball Champion Odicci-Alexander suffered the loss after allowing three earned runs on four hits in 3.0 innings.

KEY MOMENT

After falling behind 1-0 in the first inning, Team Romero responded with five unanswered runs over four innings to claim a 5-1 lead that they never relinquished. Kilfoyl, meanwhile, excelled after giving up the early run, allowing just four hits over the final six innings.
